Heat - when, why & How
Heat therapy is best for chronic conditions or to relax stiff muscles. Apply heat for 15-20 minutes at a time. Avoid heat on inflamed areas as it can worsen swelling.

ICE - when, why & How
As a general rule; Ice therapy is beneficial for acute injuries or flare-ups of chronic conditions. Apply ice within the first 2 - 3 days for 10 minutes every 2 hours.
